Misplanned city

There is no written mention of which roads require a permit if you are coming by car. This causes chaos and uncertainity hence spoiling the holiday spirit. Also the parking charges are skyrocketing. Better issue a daily ticket of Rs 50/- like in mussoorie to enter these areas.
Moreover defaecation by horses spoil the tempo of ridge.

We atayed at the Cecil Hotel, and it was fabulous! With it's beautiful old world charm and proper manner we were treated like royalty. We took advantage of the indoor pool and jacuzzi over looking the moutains, plus the steambaths and massage salon. The mall is a village of shops and restaurants and th e prices are great. To truly enjoy this nostalgic hill station of the past and present, one should be justified with its history by either having a local friend give you the tour or pay a local guide to show you the REAL Simla of the bygone British era.
