great place...lots of friendly people..butt.. they should put an elevator in the mountain that has the carved buddist caves. hiking up that hill, when it's 90+ degrees is a killer...west end hotel is very nice ( now the jupiter hotel)
Its a nice, calm maharashtrian town. Very convenient to travel. Low crime rate. Lot of historical and religious places to visit. A must visit for Hindus and travellers seeking peace and simplicity.
Very good historical background such as Kumbh Mela! Also importance of Pandava caves where Pandavas were lived for 8 years. Also some ATI PRACHIN (great ancient) temples like Satya Narayan, Butak Hanuman, Someshwar, Trimbakeshwar, etc. Anjinari is also a fine place for hiking where Lord Hanuman were born. Climate is very cooooooool. Best developed city in North Maharashtra.

in nasik i like nature very much. near nasik trimbak, someshwar , are most wonderful nature sites , also dams like gangapur ozerjhed et. these all places are very clean and the traveling is too comfortable. also restaurants are ok but dont like that their is no extra attention for tourism for nasik.
