I have been to Kolkata this august (14th-17th) on my way back from Guwhati. Its a wonderful place and the best time I liked being in kolkata is during the Monsoon. calcutta-the name itself is so mesmerising.there may be meetings,michhils, jams,janjots-but the city is so friendly.the people are always eager to help,the police are also very helpful.the cost of living is low.hotels suitable for all kinds of budgets are available.the places of interest are of different kinds,suitable for a vast variety of people.it is a place worth coming back to too often.
