The 1st thing U'll notice about Darjeeling besides the obvious Mighty mountains is THE NICEST and FRIENDLIEST PEOPLE. Next thig U'll notice is this place is amazingly cosmopolitian in nature... Mosques and Temples, Church and Monastries all stand side by side.. and people from all faiths respect each other trememdously.. Never in my whole ...

The setting of Darjeeling is truly awesome. I travelled in Nepal and India for a month but I my memories of "Darj" remain the most vivid.
As the town is situated on a ridge the views are dramatic. Lots of steep walking to really see it all. But 2 full days is actually enough to see everything. I really enjoyed the tea! You will never ...

Tibetan hotel

In the heart of Darjeeling, close to the Mall's shopping and entertainment, is "Snowlion Homestay" The hotel is owned & managed by a Tibetan family.Their personnalised service and happy temperment made it a delight to stay with them. Located on Gandhi Road, which is a continuation of the Mall Road, it provides an ideal base for the many local tourist attractions, whilst being in a central, upmarket area of the town.
well i am proud to say that i was born to this mystique land. this land has given me everything, the most important an air to breath an iar to keep. well for me it is still the queen of hills because we should remember that the queen gets old and what darjeeling needs is a complete make up or it should resurrect to its past

Hotel Shangri-La

Don't stay at this hotel! They absolutely don't know how to run it. There's no toilet paper, no towels, no hot water - unless you ask 10 times for it. It's overpriced and unconfortable. Avoid!
I just fell in love with the place. Our trip included some 5-6 places.. but wht I liked most was Darjeeling. I just can't forget a week that i spent there. It's a nice place for shopping!! I liked different spots around. Temperature was really cool.
I LIKED EVERYTHING ABOUT HERE IT'S BEAUTY THE PEOPLE THE TEMPLES THE KANCANJUNGA RANGES WARM HOSPILITY TEMPERATURE , CLIMATE , WEATHER MARKET, TEA ESTATES, ZOO,ST.PAUL'S COLLAGE PEOPLE WITH BEAUTIFUL REDISH CHEEKS, TIGER HILLS , AND THE CHIIIIILING WEATHER
I visited Darjeeling in 2002 Early December.Very much enjoyed cold environment and misty hills. However I did not see snow clad mountains.
Darjeeling is still not commercialised as other indian hill stations. As my stay there was a short one I could not visit many places. Hope to visit Darjeeling again. It was one of my most memorable journeys.
