I spent a few hours here before taking the night train to Sarajevo. It feels very different from any other Hungarian city. First of all, there isn't that depressing air of communism lingering around. My second Favorite city in Hungary!
By rikiswims115, 03/01/06
Pecs is a city of a little over 200,000 people. I loved this city. It has an interesting architecture. Great Vacation Spot
By bchanzal, 09/02/05
I had the chance while in college to participate as a business consultant for Petav Heating Distribution in Pecs, Hungary with Hungarian students for the University of Pecs. While staying in the city with other students for three weeks, the city is filled with great activities and culture.
Medium size city with a small city feeling. Great wine tasting spots along with great Hungarian food. The price is right!

Pecs is a one of the nicest cities in Hungary. Every summer, the city holds an international folk festival and it is neat to check it out. Many great restaurants and coffee shops right in the center of the city. Oh yeah, don't forget to check out local wines.
