  • This Hotel need serious remodel
    By sharon, 03/24/09
Don't be fool by the outside of the building like a 5* but inside it worse than 2* hotel. This hotel need serious remodel, the carpet is old and stale, bathroom is very small and wall paint is peeling. The pros is that the hotel is right next to the MTR and closeby the bay. Our room got a nice ocean view and we get see the beautiful HK night ...

  • La Ngoc Duy model
Nice enough city with historical and cultural sights but the political situation is just too chaotic. I would give this country a miss for a couple of years.

  • Kowloon side, Hong Kong
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/17/06
Kowloon is part of the city of Hong Kong, but its actually on the mainland of China. I always stay at the Park Hotel in Kowloon mainly because the rooms are huge and its in a good central location. There are loads of cool little shops around the hotel, including a 7-11 for personal items. Its also really close to the Golden Mile, and the many ...

  • Shishou---- my hometown
    By Xia, 05/14/06
Milu Deer is a household animal. There is one city in Hubei inseparable from it. What’s it? ---Shishou, my hometown.. Located in the south of Hubei Province bordering the north of Hunan province on the junction point of Jianghan Plain and Dongting Plain, it got its name because there are stones standing alone by the Yangtze river in the city. Not ...

  • Great experience
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/29/06
I found Kowloon to be much cleaner than the island of Hong Kong. The shopping and the eateries to me were better in Kowloon than Hong Kong. You will find just about at type of food style you can think of. I found Kowloon also has a much safer feeling about it. When I return on my next trip I will deffinately stay in Kowloon over Hong Kong. Hong Kong was a great day trip but I enjoyed Kowloon more.

  • HKG? Not for everybody.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/04/05
I found Hong Kong a terrible place. Kowloon, or Tsim Sha Tsui rather, was the worst. The air was bad, the people are loud, unfriendly and are not shy to push you away. On every other corner someone, mostly Indians, want to drag you into some backroom to selly you "copy Rolex". Our hotel, the Hyatt (not recommended), had staff outside to ...

  • We want to go back again!
    By E, 10/01/05
Excellent place. Public transportations are very convenience and reach everywhere in Hong Kong. The city is full of life, and can't wait to go back.

  • Vibrant and full of life.
    By tchu_yhoo, 08/13/05
Kowloon is an amazing place! When people think of Hong Kong, they probaly think about Central (the economic downtown with sky scrapers and the busy well heeled professionals walking and talking on their cell phones), but I found Kowloon to be a much more "real" place in that it was dirtier, less orderly, and full of signs of common life. ...

  • Kowloon is not Hong Kong!!!
    By Gary, 07/09/05
Kowloon is the shoppers mecca for all things!

This small section of land just off Hong Kong is the place to be!

It has MANY great shops, everything from carved jade to the Star Ferry.

The many restuarants in Kowloon will pleasantly wreck what you "thought" was good Chinese cooking! Kowloon cafes offer epicurean delights for all ...
