The beaches are very nice, the Garifuna food is excellent, and day trip possibilities are terrific. We took a tour to Punta Sal and it was a pristine snorkel and hike park. So wonderful that we bypassed an excursion to the Bay Islands. As for lack of theaters and malls, hallelujah!

Great place to just relax without the $$$$ of places like Roatan. I went for a day and stayed 3 weeks. Have spent many a day on Roatan but Tela is the new hot spot in Honduras.

I realy liked this place it was a small town by the sea great the water is warm and clear so beautiful. two thumbs up if I had more hands it would be more.

It's just nice not a luxury, bit really comfortable

I loved this little town because the ocean its so beautiful in there, the people from Tela is very friendly and welcomes al tourists, what i didn´t like is that there are no fancy restaurants to go to.
