Lake Atitlán is simply amazing. It has the most beautiful view I have ever seen, and the people are cheerful and friendly. Panajachel affords luxury and Western convenience, while San Pedro provides less expensive accommodations and a closer look at the indigenous peoples.

Panachel is the biggest most convenient, but stronly urge you to go by boat to San Pedro. Hotel Sac Chel - sure spelling is wrong between two docks on path with lakeview at $10 is mind blowing experience with great bar-rest. across pathway. DO NOT MISS IT!
