Amazing birthplace of the olympic games. Cheap and luxurious hotels, great atmosphere by the locals, excellent museums, time of my life! What else would you expect for your amazing holidays?
We took the train in from Pyrgos, one of three for the day. A lady had brought a goat on board, which in itself was odd. It happened to be a museum holiday, so we got in for free. Then we walked around the ancient olympic site, which for mid-May wasn't very crowded. But that's about all there is in that town, so make sure to catch the 15:30 train back to Pyrgos, otherwise there's nowhere to stay.
