A modern town in the middle of sea, mountain, Olympia and Sparta. In the middle of Mediterranean. From kalamata you can visit all the ancient Greece. The clime is perfect and the summer last 9 months of the year.

i like everything.sea hillsides food prices nice market place for all needs.modern well run hospital close to athens lots to see and do.many places of interest around.as i have a house and summer there the only thing i dont like is the gossip of the locals.

After long cold winters in north america,all i can think of is the Mederteranian paradise of Kalamata. Filoxenea Hotel is a jewel in it self with thier great breakfast,lovely pool and great beach. An evening walk along the beach road visiting many restaurants and getting a flare of the city. Visit P Js restaurant for the best meals on the beach.

the most important thing is it feels that you are still in Greece

I've been in many places in Europe and i can tell that there is not better place than Kalamata in Greece. I'm originating from Kalamata and i tell you what.. its like a paradise.. beautiful beaches, nice people, mountain nearby.. quiet and cosmic/rush city.. having every luxury and everything a person may want.. I suggest you go there and see for yourself..
