The Christmas Mkt was excited for the first 1.5 hours. it is huge but not worth the trip just to see the Chris Mkt, there are Christmas Mkt every where in EU
We went for the Christmas Markets. By far this city had the best one we visited. Wish we could have stayed longer. The shops were reasonable and filled with so many wonderful things to bring home. Wish I had the recipes for the meals we shared. It was an experience we'll never forget.
I have spent a lot of time in this city on multiple visits and each time I go I find new things to experience. There are places to go with children, they find the deep well at the Kaiserburg facinating. The Rathouse with the dungeon underneath was more entertaining for the adults, the tours for that however were given in German so take along ...
I loved Nuremberg, a beautiful place I hope I could be back again!
It was great to walk along those streets people is very nice, in all Germany, Nuremberg was the place that people get closer to me and try to have a nice talk.
We stayed right next to the main train station at the gates to the Old Town. The Altstadt is a great walking area with shops, cafes, bars, etc. The cobblestone streets and the view from the Kaiserberg make you feel the history. Loved the town and it was another amazing atmosphere for the World Cup.

The Zoo - Very Impressed!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/20/06
We visited the Nuremburg Zoo on April 4, 2006 and had a wonderful experience that day! We had so much fun stopping to watch and learn about all the animals. (We enjoyed it just as much as our 10 yr old daughter Brittany did.) All the exhibits were open and the layout of the zoo makes it possible to visit each one. The dolphin show was super! We would recommend taking a day and spending it at the zoo.
YES, YES, YES Ladies, If you love accessories like I do, you'll love Nuremberg. There are more stores and shops than you can shake a stick at! Europe is REALLY BIG on fashion, and baby, they've got the BEST clothes. Even the children's clothes are jazzy, and please believe my son steps-out ERRRRDAY!
I planned our two-day trip to Nurnberg carefully, taking into account the tips and recommendations of all the Yahoo Travel members who have been so nice to share their opinion about the place.
It was a rewarding experience - we didn't waste time to go anywhere else, but the Neurenberg zentrum - the old town. And there's plenty to see and ...

Great place to visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/05
wished they would have kept McDonald's, Burger King, etc. outside of the old city walls. But still a great place to visit, walk and shop.

Old World German Charm, All the Modern Convenience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/06/05
We have visited Nuremberg a few times and really enjoyed our time there. The Christmas Market is second to none in the world. Street vendors ply their old world crafts, roasted nuts, Cuckoo Clocks and Mulled Wine. You can find incredible music, art and other culture. The Torture museum and the Castle are both great. It you go over New Years, be careful of the fireworks. They are everywhere, unregulated and fun.
