i went to dusseldorf last year, the day the celebration of the 'wall of berlin fall'. unfortunately the city was totally empty! they all took advantage of the holiday and left on vacation! thank god, a mall had an open cafeteria and i was able to have a coffee!lol, the streets were full of very very expensive shops like armani etc...its the paradise of trademark-lovers!

By rebeccapotten, 05/20/06
I have been living here in duesseldorf for 4 months now and the longer I'm here the more I love it! The people are helpful and friendly and there is always something to do. The people here are always busy but never rushed always friendly but never fake. i will be starting a german language course here soon and look forward to more and more extraordinary experiences in this beautiful city!

Duesseldorf is awesome. Trains and buses run all night long, the Altstadt is great! Bar next to another, for a mile stretch! Beer is great and cheap. Lots of Irish and English guys there. Try and come for the worldcup 2006, lots of action.
