A great place to unwind. I had been on a 4 month traveling tour of Classical Greek and Roman antiquities, and we finished in Nimes, a wonderfully walkable city with a "southern", relaxed feel to it. Of course, the aquaducts are stunning, but I enjoyed the people and the pace of the town even more.
All of Europe is filled with lots of history and to see it first hand instead of through pictures is amazing. I just love to see things and touch them and experience them first hand. We had French friends that were our guides and they added alot to the experience. Can't wait to go back.

Quaint and wonderful!

I found Nimes to be one of the most quaint and wonderful places I have visited in Europe. Everything is within walking distance, the Roman remains are interesting to visit, and the restaurant patios are fabulous to hang out at in the evenings. Music fills the plaza. I wish I could have spent more time there.
