This town is a great central location to use as a base to tour Normandy. It's less than 30 minutes west of Caen and about 45 minutes to the furthest west of the D-Day Beaches, Utah Beach. You can also get to Mont St. Michel in about 2 hours if your foot is heavy like mine.

Beautiful Small Town

I went on a field trip to France with my French class, and the first town we stayed in was Bayeux. It was nice to get a feel for the country before moving on to the bigger cities.
