    By Angela, 11/02/05
i liked the quaint streets, the roman history all around and the van gogh history i learned while there.
the roman bridge with the lions at each end was espcecialy fascinating. i enjoyed its french authenticity and it being a walled city.
the people were friendly and helpful. a good time to visit is in the summer. nearby arles is another famous roman bridge to check out.
    great photography opportunities.

Lovely helpful people. You will need to speak some french.

Don't forget siesta time - hours can be tricky.

I now look at van Gogh paintings in a new light -
