All of Finland is beautiful. Savonlinna is no exception. It feels like a place that is in perfect harmony with its surroundings. It's best to go is the summer months, when everything is in bloom (and there's light).

Though not huge, the castle is certainly intersting. There are English speaking tours a couple times a day.
