I originally took a trip back in January of 2007 to Helsinki Finland. Stayed there 2 nights, and took the 9 hour train up to Rovaniemi. It was a winter wonderland. Some of the most spectacular scenery I've ever seen. It was bitter cold, but very refreshing. The people are very friendly. Kinda shy, but interested in why anyone would visit cold ...

I went there on christmas.The weather is extreamly Cold. There is only a few restaurants and bar in town, the stores open for a very short period.Tranportation is very unconvenience and everything is overprised, it just like a city which built for tourist.
I was surprised that There are two very great chinese restaurant.

dont spoil the magic of Christmas by going to Santapark in Rovaniemi. I cant think of anything good to say about it at all. It is not what you are led to believe and Santa is an impatient young man who doesnt even ask the children what they would like for xmas or even their names! It is very unsafe as well and very unsuitable for young children.
