When you live in Helsinki, going to Tallinn is almost like going to a bigger mall. It takes only 90 minutes by a fast ship to go there and it's so nice to spend a day there, go to shopping, have a dinner in a restaurant and do things like that. People are friendly, the atmosphere is good in general and Finns really go there a lot.

Cannot describe how exciting this city was on the Baltic Cruise. Wanted to stay longer!!!! The architecture was outstanding-the Old City was the highlight of my whole trip!

Tallinn was the most amazing city I have ever seen. I spent five months living in Germany and while there visited 13 different countries and Estonia was by far my favorite. I'm a history buff so the old town was my idea of heaven. I also loved the doll shops and found the people to be some of the warmest and friendliest I had even known I did not want to leaveand hope to return to Tallinn soon.

Well it rained most of the time I was there but it added to the trip it made the place feel even more cozy and made it easyer for me to feel as if I was in the past but in a happy past the people were so proud and working so hard to rebuild the place was an amazing past meets present. parts of it are had for me to put in to words. Of course the old town is great and is everything (and more) than we expected!

Try and visit the zoo - in the process of being modernised (get there soon - what a contrast between the old and new) - and all the animals well looked after. So cheap too...

Beware of taxi pricing - prices vary wildy even though on meters - an example - we took two taxis to the airport - the taxis followed each other - one cost 61 EEK and the other 120 EEK!!

The one thing that is amazing about Tallinn is the old town.Very pretty if you're into medieval buildings and architecture. It's a very welcoming place for tourists and people are mostly nice. But there is a HUGE difference between being a tourist here and living here. Tourists mostly like it but I personally think life here is very screwed up. But everyone has their option... :)

The main city is just beautiful and worthy of multiple photos. It is worth the boat trip from Helsinki or Stockholm. If you are up north, VISIT this city.

Oh welll its a great city, I just love living here! The city isin't very big but I don't mind and nether should you becous its a nice place for waking =-P. I guess the place all tourists should visit is the Old Town. But be warned it includes (yet again) waking (up a small hill).

I took a tour all over the city en route to St. Petersberg and was fascinated with many places and somje of their inexpensive art. My church helps support one I saw there.
