Stopped into a place called Pedro Mc'Murphy's Irish Sports Pub located just off the main strip and next to Harrisons Jewellers. The wings and burgers were just like home in Calgary. 50 peso happy hour and real friendly girls.......Get this...washrooms were spotless and stocked well.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks and we realy liked it. Sometime the food was the same and after 11h you had to pay your own drinks. We booked our tours not in the hotel, to expensive, but we went outside and we booked some tours at Alftour, Sosua. Very good.....
we liked the hotel and the people who worked there an we come bach for sure.

We been there this month for 2 weeks and rented out a beach house. We had a wonderful time.
The resort offers exellent service for a reasionable price and is close to everything.
Our beach house was are complete furnished in a Caribbean style and equipped with all things we need - like aircondition, internet access and cable-TV.

Sosua is a town full of great places to dine and visit and is full of ex-pat locals on one side of town and mostly Dominican on the other. Depending on the time of year, it can be full of tourists. During our trip to Puerto Plata, we visited Sosua for a couple of days in late May 2005. We enjoyed the fact that there were very few tourists and we felt it was a more authentic experience than Puerto Plata.
