i loved everthing about the dominican from the warm breeze you feel as you arrive at the airport to the freindly staff of the resorts and the helpful taxi driver
i found the towns people to be both kind and colorful .the surrounding are breath taking and unique.

Pros
Great bang for your buck. People are veryfriendly to tourists. Beautiful inside of the resorts, just have to be careful roaming around the city streets.
Cons
The constant power outages, bug infestation in our hotel room. The tap water and the locals begging for money on tours.

I loved the warmth to which I was greeted by th epeople of the island. Touring I found some besutiful vistas. The only thing I did not like was seeing children working instead of being in school learning. My overall impression was that the Puerto Plata is georgeous, serene, and someday I hope to come on an extended stay instead of a one day excursion.

I love the weather and the people. It is a great place to take the family to get away for a while and just have fun!
