Ancient volcanoes have given the Desert of Djibouti a beauty that can only be compared to a Startrek adventure...unworldly!
It is an incredible melting pot of friendly people, no Malaria, no crime to speak of, great diving, fishing, water sports and natural wonders that I've seen no where else... wonderful!

Djibouti is full of nice people. There are two languages (French and Somali.) The locals love it when you can speak either. It smells funny but the sunrise, sunset and stars at night are beautiful. There is a Planet Hollywood and an awesome pizza place downtown.

First what impressed me was the simplicity of the people. They are so friendly and welcoming and they do not stare at you as if you were coming from another planet.
