Ancient volcanoes have given the Desert of Djibouti a beauty that can only be compared to a Startrek adventure...unworldly!

It is an incredible melting pot of friendly people, no Malaria, no crime to speak of, great diving, fishing, water sports and natural wonders that I've seen no where else... wonderful!

Djibouti is full of nice people. There are two languages (French and Somali.) The locals love it when you can speak either. It smells funny but the sunrise, sunset and stars at night are beautiful. There is a Planet Hollywood and an awesome pizza place downtown.

Djibouti City area is not only very dry but also very hot with temperatures sometimes going to the latter 40s °C. For the short time I have been here, I had not seen any rain!
