I was here with my girlfriends family. Even being with the inlaws, it was great.
We took a boat from Porec to Venice which was amazing. We stayed at a hotel on top of the hill that was a b and b and it was super cheap.

Porec is a charming seaport -- large enough to have plenty to do and see, but not too large to get lost. It's a great central location (especially if flying into Trieste) from which to visit other Istrian locations such as Vsar, Rovinj, Pula, Pazin and Motovun. All are very charming in their own right and within an hour's drive.
