Although a bit touristy, Dubrovnik is a charming place with the freshest grilled squid I have ever tasted! The views from the wall of old dubrovik is breathtaking. Some of the best pictures I took on my cruise through the Mediterranean.

Far from italian tourism
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/10/07
I surely like the atmosphere of kindness and the convenience of a lot of place even If I guess it will not remain so this for long. So I advice to visit this place soon.If I could I'd come back there to visit the other places I had no time to visit. There are a lot of beautiful landscapes and art and mainly there is a sort of tranquillity that in months like august is impossible to find in most of places in Italy.

Beautiful city
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/21/06
Dubrovnik is amazing. People are friendly, food is fantastic and Old Town is charming. Go to the restaurant which turns into a club called EastWest. Tons of fun! Also, rent a kayak and go to Lockrum which is a little island across from the marina to snorkel, sunbathe and relax. Rent a sailboat and go on a tour of the nearby islands. The sea is calm and beautiful.

The town itself is a masterpiece of Adriatic splendour, crystal clear waters, unadulterated history (albeit rebuilt after the 1992 shelling) but VERY busy in peak season. If you can stay in old ...

I mean it... the city is one of the kind, visited not for its political significance but for it's truly pleasant surroundings and mediterranean atmosphere. Just imagine the shade ...

Becketts Irish Bar - a piece of Ireland in Dubrovnik
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/02/06
This was a great Irish bar run by an Irish couple, who were really good at giving tips for restaurants and day trips. They've lived in Dubrovnik for years and seem to know everyone. It was also nice to sit in a large bar with a really cool outdoor terrace. A nice respite from the claustriphobia of the old town. We met a fun mix of trendy ...
