Matobe's offers pastas and salads early in the day and pizza made in a wood burning brick oven in the evening. Their portions are generous and their food is authentic Italian. Service is good and quick, prices are very reasonable. Their location is good,right across from the beach along the Paseo. The food is excellent, everything from the fettucine to the caprese and of course the pizza.

Just pass through it on your way to Montezuma. You catch the ferry to Montezuma on the Nicoya Peninsula here. Other than that there's not much to do in Putarenas.
