MY HUSBAND AND I WENT TO SANTA MARTA FROM JANUARY 4 - 12/08, AND WE JUST LOVED IT.
WE HAD BEEN IN CARTAGENA MANY TIMES BEFORE , BUT THIS TIME WE DECIDE TO VISTI SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND WE WERENT DISSAPOINTED AT ALL.
WE STAYED IN A PLACE CALLED "POSADA TURISTICA SAN RAFAEL" LOCATED TO JUST FIVE MINUTES FROM THE MAIN ENTRANCE OF TAYRONA ...

this place is the perfect alternative to the legendary (and now run down) miramar. sun
city offers a lot of comfort at a reasonable
price. it is run by a family and it shows
they care about their guests. also the
area where suncity is located is safe and
its close to the beach and nightlive (where locals hang out). if you want to be with
the gringos then go to calle 10 but make
sure you dont mingle with the wrong crowd.

I really liked the people. They seemed so nice. They were thoughtful and the food was absolutley delicious. I have to recomend the fish. i fell in love with Santa Marta. I recomend it for a family vacation or a getaway. Que viva Colombia!
