Towns like Kamloops are the heart of western Canada, although at first it looks like not much happens here. Kamloops, is in a semi desert region although it stands on the juntion of the north and south Thomson rivers. The people are very western laid back but don't be fooled into thinking they don't know about the world. Once you have stayed here a while it will be hard to leave, as there is always something to stay for.
