I spent a few months in Vitoria and vicinity and fell in love with the city. Every travel guide I have read dismisses Vitoria as just a dangerous backwater with nothing of interest. I strongly disagree.

I loved the beaches that are extremely clean and not as crowded as Rio. The Nightlife lags behind but come thursday you will not be dissappointed by the fashions and variety of clubs and bars.

Loved the people and culture surrounding them. The beaches are beautiful!. Watch the taxi drivers, they'll always try to get more money out of you! The women are beautiful and scantily clad! And with the value of the dollar compared to the real, everything is dirt cheap for tourists!
