i liked the city a lot. we were there in November, 2006 for 10 days. i had heard it was dangerous and for this reason, i was a bit nervous going with my girlfriend but there were absolutely no safety problems. I felt safer on my trip in SP than on my last trip to Houston. we did utilize a driver to get us places and this probably helped as we ...

Pleasant not touristy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/13/06
Sao Paulo isn't a popular tourist destination but I had the chance to visit for a few days and had a wonderful time. I especially loved shopping at the Mercado Central and the surrounding neighborhood. Very lively.
It's a very crowded and cosmipolitan city. Traffic is terrible! You can get around on the subway pretty well!
I visited SP years ago for business, this is a very nice city, people is very friendly. The city is big and the traffic is terrible in rush hours youŽll need time to visit all places. Great for shopping too!!

Definitely worth visiting!

Sao Paulo is one of the largest of the world. Restaurants were fantastic. Brazilian music is one of my favourites. You have to be a bit careful on the streets, but just as much as in any other major city in the world. Definitely worth visiting.
