The city is boring with not much to do. Don't believe that the city has european influences because that's a big lie. I noticed that people here tend to be not as nice as in other parts of Brazil. Go somewhere else like Sao Paulo which is Brazil's biggest city or Rio which I also loved! Enjoy Brazil but stay away from Porto Alegre.

Porte Alegre is one of the hidden gems of Brazil. The most European of the Brazilian cities. Very recommended.

it is my home town. not only because of that,but because it is a very modern city, lots of different things to do and places to go. also a lot of the european history and museums, can't miss it when going to Brasil.
