If you really want to experience Brazil, get out of the mega-huge cities, and experience the middle of the country. During the day, go to a country house with someone where you can swim and tan, or go shopping at a mall, an open air fair, or some of the many small shops, or spend a few hours at a salon. In the evening, go to a boteco to eat filet or picanha grilled outside near your table while you drink icy cold beer.
