We stayed at the Plaza Hotel. It was nice, friendly and very resonable. There are plenty of places to shop and eat. There are buses to take you elsewhere or tourguides to find to take you. We rented a car and went off to stay a few days at the Barton Creek Outpost, which was fabulous. It's deep in the jungle has a great swimming hole with ropes to swing out on. There's a great cave to tour and the best food.
