Perfectly clear water. You feel like you are on a private Island and you own it. People are very friendly. To our knowledge pink sand beach would be the best among the 700 Islands in Bahamas.

Loved the beach, the pink sand, the restaurants were fabulous, probably the best food we have ever had on an island, expensive but worth it.

Disliked the fact that my son and I were almost trampled by the horses that you can ride on the beach. Would not recommend that either, especially for a youngster.

Harbour Island is a beautiful tropical paradise.

We rented a gorgeous beachfront property and were burglarized. There was no forced entry and to date have heard nothing from the real estate company, nor have any of our many personal items ...from clothing to ipods...been recovered. Safety is a major concern here.

If your looking for a place to get away from it all,...no tv's , no cell phones, no faxes, etc.... sit on the beach and have a drink or two , or three... lounge by the pool... go back to your room ...

THe island is calming. It has an odd quality about it that makes you forget all that you have left behind in the 'real world' and just focus on the here and now. It may be a mix of the thick clean air, the soft pink sand, the expansive ocean, the heady aroma of midnight jasmine, and the generous measures of rum!
