From 1997 to 2001 we flew on a junket out of Richmond Va staying at the Holiday In Sunspree ( It changed names occassionally). It was a great deal ( $400 each for the flight, hotel transfer and 6 nights at hotel. We rented a scooter for $40/day and saw the entire island. We walked to the Catholic church and attended...It was all delightful, the ...
From my experience in Freeport I find the people there to be very rude and nasty. The only people who were nice were the ones who were tryng to sell you something. I would never go back because it was very uncomfortable when you had to speak to people like the transport drivers or at the port.
Visited Freeport while cruising and really enjoyed it. I can only comment on the snorkeling and Port Lucaya marketplace since that was the extent of our day there.
We spent most of the day on Capt Tony's Sand Dollar catamaran and had a wonderful time, beautiful boat, great service and excellent snorkeling, A++. I would highly recomend him and ...
My husband and I took our Honeymoon @ Viva Wyndham Fortu na Beach resort, and were not impressed. It is a secluded resort, but there isn't much to do once inside the resort. The personnel there are pushy and they don't take no for an answer, if they are trying to sell you something. It is a cheaper all-inclusive resort, but definitely not worth it's cost. A cruise or more expensive resort is a better value.
I sent this email to the management of the hotel and the Corporate Office on 07-24-2008 and I have not heard back from them.
I returned to my room (3137) last night and found that it had not been serviced, I called the operator and she was surprised it was not done. She said she was sorry and would call and have them take care of it, she ...

An Honest Review After an 8 day trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/08
First of all I would like to question all the super positive reviews you see on this site because I have no idea if these people 1.) ever vacationed before 2.) worked for the hotels here. My wife and I stayed 8 days in Freeport Sheraton/Westin resort and I have to tell you I am quiet disappointed considering all the hype we heard about Bahamas. The ...
(this is the second part of my review, which Yahoo thought was too long)
We rode out about 30 miles to the National Park. What a beautiful stretch of absolutely private beach! You can't be sorry there. Just lie around, swim naked if you want (about 3 people for about 2 miles of beach as far as I could see) and enjoy the clear blue water. ...

The Island was beautiful and not overly crowded. The beach was fabulous and has tainted me for any east coast beaches in the US. There is lots to do if you do your research. We stayed six days and had lots to do. We went on a wonderful nature tour of caves and then cayaking and lunch on a beautiful beach. The tour guide was friendly and very ...

Ok, if you're vacationing in Freeport for more them 3 days, you'll be bored! Freeport is more laid back for those who ONLY want to relax. Sure, there's activites, but what island doesn't offer snorkeling, parasailing, jetskiing, etc. Nightlife, hated it! The same old place again & again. If you ask the stuff about nightlife, ...
It was a nice place to snorkle and shop but there was not really a whole lot more to do. Unless you just want to sit on a beach or go in the water. Its' more of a port, Nassau has lots more to do.
