Visiting Newcastle as a child my friends at home dismissed Newcastle as a'steel city' and a lousy destination. They did not realise that it has a great climate, attractions, beaches, entertainment and night life. The rest of the world has caught on now with a broader range of accommodation and attractions established to take the demand.

wow wow wow. Heaven on earth is called Newcastle. Seven stars. THe beaches are so clean I ate my lunch straight of the sand. yee haaa

excellent. the beaches are superb and the women just need to be seen to be beleived.

bars and nightspots are top notch. the beaches have to be the cleanest i have ever seen.

I like the beach areas of newcastle. I think there is this really cool old castle there that was fun to check out. I didn't feel totally safe in newcastle. There are better beaches south of Newcastle.

The Tourist Information Office did not reflect the general friendliness of the population. Staffed by young women who had everything else on their minds except that they were supposed to help out visitors! The directions were given so fast that only a resident of Newcastle may have been able to follow them. In otherwords, we felt like we were imposing on them and were just more bloody nuisances!
