The best restaurant in Oranjestad- GustosoMy husband and I have been visiting Aruba since our honeymoon in 1992. We have tried a lot of the restaurants on the island, mostly in Oranjestad, where our timeshare is located. Downtown- THE place to be!The nightlife (clubs, casinos, and theater), first class shopping, great restaurants and the Renaissance Resort with their private island make Downtown Oranjestad THE place to be.

The definition of ParadiseFor those who complain about the Holloway case, please be advised to not leave your home, ever. The world is a scary place and you never know what may happen. Compared to many other islands in the region, Aruba is actually considered safer due to the lack of drug trade and high presence of police officers.

Don't go/DisappointingMembers of my family visited Aruba several years ago.
However, due to Aruba Law Enforcement’s mishandling (what is Aruba hiding?)
of the Natalee Holloway case, it has been
decided to avoid travel to Aruba.

It was OK - Overrated & ExpensiveAruba was an island I always wanted to visit. Maybe I expected too much, but I was disappointed.
Downtown Oranjestad - what a joke! There was no downtown just a couple of nicely painted Dutch-style buildings. Stores close at 6PM.
Restaurants are very EXPENSIVE for what you get.

Wonderful placeFantastic weather, great beaches, friendly people, very nice hotels and timeshares. Been going for the last 6 years. Would love to buy a retirement home for use several months in the winter.

Wonderful experienceI loved Arbua, the people are so nice and courteous. They know how to have a good time. The weather is great. The food at the Waterfront Crab house is off da hook!
Shopping a little on the expensive side. So many activities to enagage in.

Our Favorite PlaceThe first time we went to Aruba was on one of those "getaways." We had no intention of buying a Timeshare. One of the conditions of our trip was to listen to the 90 presnetation at Marriott. We fell in love. We now own 3 weeks and go back every year. Things can happen anywhere you go!!!My wife and I went on our honeymoon here..WE had a wonderful time. Not one time did we fell scared. We went about 6 weeks after Natalie was missing..The people are very friendly and the food was excellent. We stayed at the Wyndham, not the nicest of hotels, will stay somewhere different next time. Will go back positively.

CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!!I loved the place. It was beautiful, and the people are very freindly. It is very safe, and clean.
I dont agree with the boycott thats going on.
