We just returned from Bariloche and found a great place to stay. The name is Cabanas Ladera Norte. They are very cute with great woodwork. The cabanas had two bedrooms and a full kitchen. This was perfect for our family. They are close to town and have great views of the mountains and the lake! I do not normally write reviews, but we were so impressed I had to share with other travelers.

If your looking for a great place to visit, well, this is it! Great food, excellent atmosphere and don't forget, the people are very nice as well. Visited Bariloche two years in a row and planning to visit again. Love this place and would love to make it home.

Carlos Wiederhold built the first general store in the area in 1895, but San Carlos de Bariloche is officially founded on the 3rd of May of 1902. It was named Carlos in honor of Mr. Wiederhold and Bariloche from the Indian term 'Vuriloche'.

The best place I've ever been in my entire life. This place is amazing , you'll enjoy a dream place for a low budget , you have to try it is a hidden treasure.

Bariloche: synonymous to First-class pistes, excellent and varied accomodations from the luxurious to the backpack type of traveler, plus, the magnificent views! the pristine lake Nahuel Huapi, also home to "Nahuelito" Argetina's answer to Nessie. All these sandwiched in this corner of the world. Especially spectacular in the fall!
