Salta is GREEN, and nestled an a beutiful Andean valley with views that one would die for in much of the vacation world. The spanish architecture, dating from the 1500s is but a sidelight of this charming place. There are many resturaunts and hotels of great value and of almost unlimited variety.

Viņas de Cafayate. Wine Resort: sure weīll recommed this spectacular place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/06
Canīt wait to get back home and tell our friends about our experience in Viņas de Cafayate, a small, colonial style hotel, built in the middle of a state which produces excellent wines such as Torrontes (the typical wine in Cafayate) or Cabernet Sauvignon. Taste the main dishes of their restaurant: delicious mixture of gourmet and regional flavours. A gem in the Calchaqui Valley. Congratulations!

Its provincial hospitality along with its rich cultural inheritance, find expression in its folk music and moving religious ...

But calling this language immersion is like comparing a Catholic sprinkling to a Baptist dunking and calling them both Baptisms. We hired a local guide who spoke little English, but had a car and knew the sites. We rented a house and used the ...
Great colonial architecture and design . . . probably the best in Argentina. Catedral San Francisco probably the most recognizable landmark in town for it's gaudy red and gold exterior. However, don't miss La Virgin del Milagro in the main Cathedral as it's the foundation for most of Salta's folklore. Be sure to visit in ...
