i know Angola isn't a holiday destination, but if, for some reason you're thinking going there, think twice!
you'll spend 250 usd each day, and that's just the price of hotel and meals!
Smells awfully everywhere, there are no cars for hire, no good restaurants..

The Angolans have no respect for their own country, let alone the property or rights of others. Anytime you are stopped by a police officer and asked for money, its a sure sign that government is corrupt. Why should anyone try to help people that will not help them selves in such small things as litter?

This place has some nice beaches. A long Lagoon called Mussulloo is beautiful and one has to go by boat. Ilha de Luanda looks beautiful in the night. There are some nice restaurants in the town. One gets a beautiful scene of sunset. THe place is quite expensive and not suitable for budget travellers.

I ve never been there but can't wait to go. Angola seems like a nice place. I am very very very very very happy that people get to go visit there. It would be really really really nice if my friends and i would go there.

Yes, it is full on contrasts, but interesting anyway. Very friendly people, very beuatiful nature, excellent weather and beaches like a paradise. But in the same time lot of poor people, high criminality and very expensive prices for hotels.
I have been mainly in Luanda in March, 2006 and it has been one of the most interesting places to visit ...

awesome, full of excitment, i loved going in the early months of spring, it was fun, i went on the driving tour and loved going on safaris, i got a rental car from avis at the Luanda airport, I stayed at the President Meridian hotel

the people are so friendly and welcoming. its indeed heaven on hearth.
the food is great so are the beaches particularly ilha de luanda.
wonderful country
