If you want to relax but yet have access to kayaking, bicycling, hiking, whale watching and great opportunities for nature photography, this is the place to visit. Eastsound is a small village on Orcas Island and the stores close early in the evening, but there are lots of bed and breakfasts on the island for quiet contemplation and enjoying nature. Weather is not too hot in the summer with occasional rain, but not as much as Seattle.
