Roanoke is a beautiful town to visit when you want to get away from it all.The scenery is absolutely breath taking.Whenever I go there I never want to leave.I would recommend Roanoke for a family vacation or a nice romantic getaway for two.

Roanoke is soo freakin awesome. I loved the Mill Mountain Star also downtown they lit up a cofee sign and a coke sign. It is a very good neighborhood for rasing families. Roanoke Rocks!!!

This city freakin rules because the people are so freakin cool. Every person in the whole world should live here. In fact, I'm planning on moving here in the near future and raising a family.

The Mill Mountain Star? Well, it was really neat and unique. The transportation museum, center in the square and the market area...what a diverse range of things to do in one small place. Also, Natrual Bridge and the attractions there are not too far. The Safari Park Zoo is close to Natrual Bridge and was a blast!There is also a small zoo on Mill ...

Local restaurants -- pretty damn good...beats the chain restaurants.

Roanoke is your average American city. It's home to around 100,000 people, it has an average climate, avg. home cost, and avg crime rate. One thing not average about Roanoke is it's beauty, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's a great place to raise a family, and a great place to live. City conveince, with small friendliness.

I LOVED Roanoke. It's so beautiful, a little getaway from the big cities. A lot of nature related things to do and see (hike..swim..etc). Totally worth it.
