Yeah...it's great for history, but it's great for families, too. The Safari Park, Natural Bridge, Lexington Cariage Company, Lexington Ghost Tour, Boxerswood Gardens are all family friendly. Plus there is hiking, fishing, canoing, llama treking and more! I found the travel center really helpful...call them to get lots of info.

Good Place for Historians
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/25/05
Make sure to visit all the historic places where they burried Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. This is an awesome place to see how the civil war took place and also how much history is behind this place. The people here are pretty nice and noble. This place is worth seeing all the attractions.

Franks Pizza is the best pizza place around they are nice respectful and if they do mess up on something the will kindly fix it
This is a great place for History buffs. The city is beautiful, the people are friendly, and the civil war heroes are buried here. Be sure to tour the William and Lee College, Robert E Lee is buried here, the cemetary where Stonewall Jackson is buried. And, the Stonewall Jackson house. We took the walking ghost tour, it was fun, and it is full of historical stories. Great place to visit!
