I lived near Herndon as a child. It used to be a quiet little airport town. Now it's an overpriced zoo! It's not safe anymore. The only reason to go would be to either visit someone or spend the night to catch an early flight out of Dulles. Other than that it's a crazy mess and I am honestly concerned that things are going to get a great deal worse in the near future.
