Today we ate at this 50's deli. I ordered a club sandwich and chili. My husbane ordered a chicken salad sandwich and chicken and wild rice soup. The chili was the best chili I ever had. The sandwiches were both over stuffed and fresh to order, lots of turkey and bacon and ham in the club. The chicken salad was to die for! We then had ice cream! ...

This is middle city America life at its best. There is a place here no matter gender, materal status, education, race or religion. The city is the cleanest city for it size and a former Green Tree city award winner. Any season that you come here the citys view of the river will take your breath away.

For .50 per person, per block a very energetic gentelman will ride you and a guest around downtown Fredricksburg, talking about history, past people of the area; Mary Washington.
The overall experience was very nice and educational. However, please remember to keep track of your block coverage, he gives so much information during the tour, he can't always be accurate...But still worth the experience.

We visited Cards & Cones and had lunch there. One of the locals sent us there and we were very surprised by the friendly atmophere and clean bathroom. I had chicken salad and my daughter had their chili. I must say th at it was very good. The chicken salad was fresh,I watched the man make it! I highly recommend it! I liked the *old town* the atmosphere of the people. The security of the town is very high,yet can be very annoying while you'r trying to walk somewhere or do something and theres a police car.. asking questions and what not but other then that a good place to go.
