We have stayed at The Lakefront Inn & Motel and will keep going back until we can retire there. It's a gorgeous small town rich in natural beauty. I would recommend staying in one of the 4 lakeside rooms. You'll have excellent views of the loons and the mountains. The last time we were there we saw a total of 8 Moose and 8 deer! And Ali's Outback Restaurant has the best seafood I have ever tasted. We love Island Pond, VT.

I would encourage folks to stay away from this town. There is is a constable who just love writing tickets to tourists (I thought this only happend in the south).
