I love to bird at Rockport whenever I can. Ruy throats migrate through in Sept. and there is a great celebration there every year. The whooping cranes are as exciting to see as the dolphins swimming along beside your boat as you cruise to the whooping crane territory. Great fishing and outstanding friendly, helpful people and chamber of commerce.
The parking may look full (and it will be), but there is plenty of place to sit.If you have 20-50 people you might call ahead. This is the most delishous and affordable seafood on the Gulf Coast. The Seafood Platter is only $13.99 and you will have a second meal left in your doggie bag for sure. The place burnt down a few years ago, but it's back better than ever. FM 188 between Hwy 35 and Bus 35. A must!!!!!!!!!! Tim Duncan
