We went to Port A for the first time in 1997. We got married on the beach at marker #2 on Sept 2, 2000. We will be retiring in Port A some day. You have to check out the patio at Neptune's Retreat. It's a funky little bar with the best patio in Port A. Since I don't smoke that makes it even better. Beautiful palm trees and a lot of ...

We just wanted to share some facts from a recent incident at the Beachgate so that hopefully others can avoid the disappointment we have suffered.
My wife and had been long planning a special vacation in Port A, our favorite get away place. We booked a week at Beachgate since we have stayed there multiple times and they are pet friendly. We ...

Perfect Family Getaway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/20/07
We go every summer for a month. We keep our RV at Tropic Island Resort and fish the Blue Wave Tourny. If your looking for a great RV Park check them out. They have a great pool and laundry facilities. We love the beach, the quietness, and the great food. Be sure to check out PORT A PIZZARIA. You won't be disappointed. Its a favorite with the whole family. Also, make sure you visit Wootons Candy Store. Their fudge is unbelievable.
This is one of the best parks at one of the best beaches I have ever stayed. Park staff very professional. Extra clean. Beach is awesome. Can't wait to return. And only four hours from the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

I have been to port aranasas 3 times now every time had a great time ,I plan on returning in October again to see Roger Creager Great place on the bay to eat seafood great drinks ,Love sharkeys beach club.if you stay 1 day to a week you really don't want to leave .
Me and the family drove 1500 miles from Wisconsin to spend 2 weeks in the very nice sand & surf condos. With a view of the ocean from the living room, and a fully equiped condo at a reasonable price we couldnt be happier. The locals where so great and friendly, the water was so warm and clean, lots of fish, dolphins, sea turtles, and even a Pilot Whale.
Port A is a quiet, laid-back beach destination that has much to offer in the way of relaxation. We've been going for a three day weekend for the past three years, and each time we find something different to do. The first trip down, we stayed at Plantation Suites, which is a great hotel with all the amenities, but several blocks from the beach. ...
We loved taking the ferry over, this is the cutest place and since it's out by itself you really feel like your in some exotic locale'. Neat lil shops wonderful dining and a great atmosphere. We will return and stay here next time we visit this area. Our children LOVED it!
