Polihale Beach is one of the photos shown for Plano. Unfortunately the beach is in Hawaii. Plano is miles from the ocean or gulf, but it does seem to have nice lakes.

First of all, the picture shown with the site for Plano, Texas is NO WHERE NEAR IT!!! Outside of Dallas, not noted for their beaches and picturesque surf, it's boring, boring, boring!! My cousin lived there for years and I visited every year. We had to go to Dallas to buy a simple bottle of wine; it was in a dry county. There's nothing there unless you work in Dallas and want to live in suburbia.

Your hotel on Plano Parkway needs much work. What has happened? Usually your places are quite nice. In this affluent area of north Dallas this hotel should be top notch! Old and in need of renovation. Won't stay here on my next trip.

What is that picture of a beach doing in a Plano, Texas article? There is no place like that in the entire state, let alone the landlocked bedroom community of Plano.

The only reason that I was here was because my cousin lived here. Boring, boring boring!! You couldn't even buy a bottle of wine at the grocery store!! You had to go to Dallas for anything as simple as beer as Plano was in a dry county!! Talk about backwoods!! Hope you love Wal-mart!!

Plano. Let's see, they are part of the urban sprawl along hiway 75 north of Dallas. They have Home Depot, Costco, Target, and they are not "dry" like Richardson, so they have plenty of Liquor stores, in particular on the Richardson-Plano Border along Renner Road. I have no idea why anyone in their right mind would vacation there.

The only good thing about Plano is the churrascaria restaurant Fogo de Chao.

Other than that, the beaches in Hawaii are much nicer than in Plano.

Its an eight hour drive to the nearest beach - Do you have the pictures mixed up?

In general Plano has little to offer tourists. Good telecom business community, but little to see except Southfork Ranch which is outside Plano.

There really is nothing much to do, I'm not sure why this area is listed as a traveling destination. It's a regular yuppie town filled with chains after chains that you can find, very easily, else where in the states. Not many local characteristic-building stores/buildings that would make the trip so special.

A car is also very crucial ...
