Killeen has a little-known, but wonderful Planetairum tucked just off Hwy 190. IMAX movies and a great gift shop make this place a great attraction for visitors of all ages. A groovy time-line of famous star-related inventions is inlaid in the lobby tile. Two televisions promote upcoming movies and planetarium shows. Open Memorial Day, free parking and clean restrooms.

My stay in Killeen was personal and I stayed with family. The flights to and from Killeen were the worst I have ever had (and I fly often). Weather was bad which was excusable but the delays and problems with Continental seemed more than weather problems. I will certainly make other plans for a return visit.

i live here i hate it, don't come a visit, my family and i are having to go to one of the bigger cities to do something fun...... DON'T GO TO KILLEEN

Do not be drawn buy the cheap housing or good contracts to this area. You will fear for your safety probably as soon as you drive around town here. The vast majority of the people here are either military or related to them in some way. I agree with the other guys post on here that you should throw out any dream of a decent level of service ...

I can only speak for civilians who worked here in 2006. I would not return here ever for any amount of money. EVERYWHERE you go there is some army guy in his or her uniform. You can not eat anywhere with out terrible service and long waits. Traffic is horrid, people are rude, and the housing is just flat out unacceptable. You have not experienced ...

Unless you have family in the military there would be no reason to ever go to this city. Stay in one of the smaller surrounding towns.

If you like 2 and half hr waits at the Restaurants and to see spinners on every vehicle with loud bass booming to wake you up all threw the night. This is your town. Lots of traffic and hrs of waiting with no real attractions. Horrible place. Save your money!

Jasons deli was a great add on to Killeen because of it being a Army town with many folks with different back grounds and taste. Jasons deli brings something to the table for everyone and anyone wanting a cozy place to take the family for lunch or dinner or read a book over a bowl of soup, Jasons is the place.

This town only exists because of Fort Hood. It is a dump with nothing to do. If they mention downtown, just laugh.
