It is definitely different than what I was use to, however, it is nice to get away from all the hussle and bussle and to just relax and look at the unspoiled atmosphere this city provides.

It's hard to fall in love with "nothing." But that is exactly what Mountain City and Johnson County have... unspoiled mountains, a huge Watauga Lake where 85% of the shore will never see houses... fresh air.... fireflies in summer.... clear skies with lots of stars. The kids are right: no waterslides. No amusement parks or putt putt. ...

it is a peaceful place for old folks to live.and if you are a kid you have to think of something to do.I will eventually visit again.

I like Mountain City because it is a friendly little town. It seems like everyone waves or speaks to you.I like to go to the fireworks and The Fiddlers Convention.
