  • Not much going on....
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/08
The good: Knoxville is a safe place and the traffic is not too bad. Also, if you like college athletics (especially football and basketball), Knoxville has some pretty exciting sporting events. Finally, Knoxville is also close to the Smoky Mountains.

The bad: Outsides of sports, there really is not much to do in Knoxville itself. The city is ...

  • fell in love w/ k-town
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/23/07
I have visited knoxville several times for extended periods. Each time, I found it harder to leave. Knoxville is beautiful, the people are genuine, friendly, and the pace is refreshing. If you love natural beauty, and outdoor activities, you cant go wrong here. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experiences in Knoxville. So much so, Im moving there!

  • Southern hospitality - slow pace
    By RonaldH, 05/09/07
The airport is wonderful. It is small and
very convenient - no long lines anywhere.
Knoxville is close to many attractions -
    Smoky Mountains, Dollywood, Cumberland Falls,
Cumberland Gap and has a good women's
    basketball hall of fame.

  • Worst Pizzeria in Town!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/15/07
The food at this place is okay, but I found the service to be terrible. The managers are impossible to contact for complaints, and their associates actually tried to bully me! I was called names and hung up on several times when I tried to call the manager. They told me I was 'simple' and 'low' and 'stupid'. Nobody has ever ...

  • Long-time Resident
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/26/07
I'm actually from Jefferson County, which is 25 min. east, but I've lived in Knoxville for the past year and a half for school. If you're going to visit, I'd definitely come during the fall. Football season is the best in Knoxville - all of the orange and music, plus the leaves changing colors - it's a beautiful sight.

  • Moving Back Very Soon Velma Pearson
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/02/05
I am only away from Knoxville for a TDY here in Alexandria, Va, which is a beautiful, thriving place in its own right, but I still would not trade K-Town. We have our natural beauty to enjoy, the great outdoors and the good ole down home feeling we must treasure and preserve forever.

  • Is the traffic worth this?
    By t., 09/24/05
Knoxville,TN is an actually wonderful place to visit. There are so many places to visit here such as the museum of art, the zoo and the night life in "The Old City" is quite entertaining. Knoxville is surrounded by beautiful mountains and is conveient to other places such as Gatlinburg, however, there seems to always be some type of ...
